Jessica Ludlow has been riding horses for over 30 years and has successfully trained and shown through Third Level in the United State Dressage Federation (USDF). Continuing education is very important to Jessica and she's currently in the USDF "L" Judging Certification program and clinics regularly with Paige Ruhl (USDF Diamond award recipient).

 

Jessica had the wonderful experience of leasing “S” Judge Sonja Vracko’s FEI gelding and taking regular lessons with Sonja. Sonja’s dedicated, methodical, and kind approach to training and coaching had a profound influence on Jessica. Jessica was able to take the skills she acquired riding with Sonja to go on to ride for a Dutch Warmblood breeding and training facility in Texas as well as exercise ride a retired Para-Olympic Grand Prix mount.  Jessica has been a working student studying dressage under FEI trainers (international competitors) and has had the opportunity to regularly ride horses trained to the highest levels of the sport. She has a calm, kind, and analytical approach to teaching; using the dressage training scale and the level system to improve a horse and rider’s skills. Jessica a registered Professional with the USDF, US Equestrian, and Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA).

Jessica is available for lessons and training for boarders with their own horses at Topline Equestrian Center in Woodinville, WA; please inquire about the waitlist. JL Equestrian is licensed and insured, and Jessica can travel to teach at surrounding facilities. School horses are currently not available.

Jessica loves building the confidence of horse and rider and believes riding should be harmonious and joyful. Dressage can sometimes seem intimidating, but its principles can be used to develop horses anyone would find pleasurable to ride.
